The 116th Zimbabwe Agricultural Show is set to transform Harare into the country’s premier agricultural, business and family entertainment hub from 24 to 29 August 2026 at the Zimbabwe Agricultural Society (ZAS) Exhibition Grounds in Harare.

Bringing together exhibitors from across all sectors of the economy, this year’s edition promises an enhanced experience driven by innovation, improved security and world-class entertainment.

The official opening ceremony will be held on Friday, 28 August, marking the flagship event of the annual exhibition.

Speaking ahead of the show, Zimbabwe Agricultural Society Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Rufaro Alfred Gunundu, said extensive preparations have been made to ensure a seamless, secure and memorable experience for exhibitors and visitors alike.

“We have deliberately invested in improving convenience, security and accessibility. This year, visitors can purchase admission tickets online and simply present a QR code at the entrance, significantly reducing queues. Exhibitors will also complete their registration online, making it easier to do business,” he said.

To accommodate the expected increase in attendance, ZAS has expanded entry points to improve traffic flow, created additional secure parking facilities and upgraded surveillance systems through the installation of more CCTV cameras across the exhibition grounds.

“Security remains our top priority. We have strengthened surveillance and introduced enhanced safety measures to protect both exhibitors and visitors throughout the show,” Mr. Gunundu added.

In a move aimed at enhancing child safety, children entering the showgrounds will be tagged to enable quick reunification with their guardians should they become separated.

Beyond agriculture and business, this year’s show will deliver a vibrant entertainment programme, with award-winning musician Jah Prayzah, popularly known as the King of the Military Touch Movement, confirmed as one of the headline performers.

Visitors can also look forward to spectacular fireworks displays on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, adding excitement to the family-friendly atmosphere. The annual exhibition will showcase innovations and products from exhibitors representing agriculture, manufacturing, mining, commerce, technology, financial services and other key sectors, reinforcing the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show’s position as the country’s largest trade and agricultural exhibition.
