A 42-year-old man from Waterfalls, Harare, has been arrested by the Zimbabwe Military Police for allegedly impersonating a member of the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA).

According to reports, the suspect had allegedly been masquerading as a serving army officer, deceiving unsuspecting members of the public while unlawfully enjoying privileges reserved for military personnel.

His activities reportedly raised suspicion, leading to investigations that exposed the alleged fraud.

The Zimbabwe Military Police swiftly moved in and apprehended the suspect, who is now assisting authorities with investigations.

Cases of impersonating security personnel are treated seriously as they undermine public trust and national security.

Members of the public are being urged to remain vigilant and report individuals who falsely claim affiliation with the country’s security forces.
