Destiny of Afrika Network (DANet) founder and president, Rev. Dr. Obedia Musindo, has commended Zimbabwe’s security services for what he described as their commitment to preserving peace, stability and public order, urging citizens to continue with their daily activities without fear.

In his side interview, Rev. Musindo encouraged Zimbabweans to reject fear and remain focused on national development.

“Zimbabweans should not live in fear. People should continue going to church, running their businesses and carrying out their daily activities because we are protected,” he said.

He praised the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, the Zimbabwe Republic Police, intelligence services and their commanders, saying their professionalism has contributed to maintaining peace and harmony across the country.

Rev. Musindo also expressed appreciation to President Dr. ED Mnangagwa, describing him as a leader committed to safeguarding national security and stability.

Rev. Musindo urged citizens to respect law enforcement agencies and support efforts aimed at preserving peace, emphasizing that security is a cornerstone of economic growth, investment and sustainable national development.

The Constitution of Zimbabwe assigns the country’s security services the responsibility of protecting Zimbabwe, its people, national security and territorial integrity, maintaining public order and upholding the Constitution and the law.

These institutions are expected to carry out their duties professionally, impartially and in the national interest.

Drawing from Scripture, Rev. Musindo cited Romans 13:1–4, which teaches that governing authorities are instituted by God and that rulers are entrusted with maintaining order and punishing wrongdoing.

He also referred to 1 Timothy 2:1–2, which encourages believers to pray for kings and all those in authority so that people “may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”Rev. Musindo, who has consistently spoken in favour of peace, national unity and development, reiterated his support for the leadership of ZANU-PF, arguing that political differences should never lead to violence or the destruction of property.

He called on Zimbabweans to uphold peace, respect the country’s institutions and work together in building a prosperous nation.

He concluded by saying that Zimbabwe’s future depends on unity, respect for the rule of law and the collective efforts of citizens and national institutions to preserve peace for present and future generations.
