The project, officially launched at the TRM Centre, immediately attracted strong support from the surrounding community as residents brought their vehicles to be washed, demonstrating confidence in a programme that is turning youthful energy into productivity.

More than just a car wash, the initiative serves as a hands-on business incubator where young people are learning customer service, teamwork, financial responsibility, time management, and entrepreneurship.

It reflects TRM’s belief that empowering young people with practical opportunities is one of the most effective ways to build resilient communities and unlock the next generation of innovators.

The launch comes at a time when youth unemployment, drug abuse, early pregnancies, and crime continue to threaten the future of many young Zimbabweans.

Through initiatives such as the Youth Car Wash Project, TRM is proving that with the right guidance and opportunities, young people can become creators of jobs rather than seekers of opportunities.

Adding further momentum to its empowerment agenda, TRM recently held a strategic meeting with the Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services, Hon. Tatenda Mavetera, to explore partnerships aimed at advancing digital empowerment among young people.

During the meeting, Hon. Mavetera applauded TRM for its unwavering commitment to youth development and reaffirmed the Ministry’s support for programmes that equip young people with digital skills, innovation, entrepreneurship, and opportunities required to thrive in Zimbabwe’s growing digital economy.

The discussions highlighted the importance of preparing youths for the Fourth Industrial Revolution by embracing technology, digital literacy, and innovation as powerful tools for economic transformation.

By combining practical income-generating projects with digital skills development, Teen Rescue Mission is building a new generation of confident, innovative, and self-reliant young people who are ready to shape their own future.

As the organisation continues to expand its impact, its message remains clear and unwavering: Say No to Drugs, Say No to Early Pregnancies, Say No to Crime Say Yes to Innovation, Opportunity, Entrepreneurship, and a Brighter Future.
