Zimbabweans are turning away from politics of protest and embracing an economy-first culture, with faith leaders, government and citizens now speaking one language, opportunity and money-making.

Speaking at the Destiny of Afrika Network (DANet) business empowerment today Rev. Dr. Obedia Musindo said the country has matured beyond divisive politics.

“Vision 2030 is about how every person can find an opportunity to do something meaningful. This shows that people are now more economic than political,” said Rev Musindo

A NEW CULTURE: PRODUCTION OVER PROTEST

Rev Musindo said the sloppy demonstration of 31 July proved the point. While some had anticipated demonstrations, Harare remained calm as citizens chose entrepreneurship forums instead.

“If there is anyone who wants to venture into Politics let him speak the language of money to the people rather than to tell them about marching. People are busy. People want to hear message of money making and this is the exact message of what the President has been saying,” Rev Musindo stated.

He urged opposition figures to take note”Let people like Tendai Biti and Jameson Timba know that people will not be interested in politics without money making messages. This will mean nothing to them.”

The 2nd Republic, President ED. Mnangagwa and the leadership, have placed infrastructure and economic empowerment at the center of national life.

In his State of the Nation Address last time, President Mnangagwa confirmed that Government has spent over $2.5 billion on infrastructure projects, which are key enablers to the achievement of targets set under Vision 2030.

“The availability of appropriate and adequate infrastructure is key for the realisation of Vision 2030,” the President said.

President ED Mnangagwa also recently announced the distribution of 35,000 tractors for te 35000 villagee aacross the country to boost productivityand create over thousands of jobs as well as improving livelihoods and poverty eradication.

Some of the major successful projects like Licensing of Independent Power Producers and scaling up of the Rural Electrification Programme. Government secured funding for the Batoka power project with Zambia to generate 2,400 megawatts & Dams: US$680 million secured for Kunzvi Dam and funding released for Marovanyati Dam to be completed by December.

“Now we are talking the language of economic development. Wealth creation is what we aim to do. People must be rewarded for the work they do,” President Mnangagwa said.

The President recently launched National Development Strategy 2 (2026-2030), the blueprint to take Zimbabwe to upper-middle-income status. Its 10 priorities include job creation, youth empowerment, infrastructure, and industrialisation.

“The achievements of the Transitional Stabilisation Programme and NDS1 as well as launch of NDS2 were a result of the views and resolutions of our past conferences and congress. ZANU PF is a listening Government,” President Mnangagwa told the ZANU PF Politburo.

Rev Musindo said it is time all Zimbabweans abandoned politics that waste time and focus on nation-building.

“ZANU PF and its leadership is an anointed party for ruling Zimbabwe. President Mnangagwa understands times and seasons we are in. Look at his Cabinet, most of the Ministers are young and vibrant,” he said.

On opposition politics, Musindo was blunt: “Chamisa himself chose not to participate in the demonstrations because he understands that times have actually changed. So ladies and gentlemen Vision 2030 is all about making money not rallies and slogans. None wants to reach 2030 without something meaningful and this is everyone’s wish not politics of marching. If you are seen marching in the streets in this era you are actually behind. It’s about making money.”

He added that men of God must also align with development:”If Rev Mutata is a true Man of God he can’t call something that makes people fail.”

“From the Trabablas Interchange to smart houses in Harare, from 35,000 tractors to new dams, the message from Government and the people is clear, Vison 2030 is bright,” stressed Rev Musindo.
